Maria Sönne
Head of People and Culture

I’m a people person and I’m turning that trait into a great passion for people in my work as Head of People and Culture. I believe passion fuels strengths, which is why I try to encourage everyone in the Lynxeye organization to find and nurture theirs.

I started my career in hospitality and was part of the opening of Clarion Sign in Stockholm way back. I’ve since changed course and worked in human resources, focusing on staffing and recruitment. I have had various roles such as Business Development Manager, Business Area Manager, and Head of Talent Acquisition in both the private and public sector.

I’ve always been intrigued by people and to be part of our employees’ individual development journeys is something that can really make my day. Maria Sönne

Do you have a favorite purposeful company?

I’m inspired by Swedish grocery chain ICA. They are socially responsible, consider a lot of sustainability aspects and make sure that their assortment carries something for everyone. They’re also nurturing a strong corporate culture, that lives through the individual grocers and how they take on local social responsibility.

It warmed my heart when ICA adapted it’s ecommerce solution to suit their oldest customers, who could not shop in physical stores during the pandemic. A form of social responsibility that created immense value for that group.

What’s the most satisfying part of your work?
