Arla’s newly appointed Swedish CEO Patrik Hansson joins us for this episode of Varumärkespodden. After years of debates about milk prices and conditions for dairy farmers, Patrik is now aiming to increase the transparency of the value driven brand.
“We want to show the right side of Arla, the transparent side. Show that we are local and that we dare to be locally relevant. At the same time, we do not just want to talk about the small-scale, but we also proudly want to show the great innovative power that we have as a global company.”
Patrik Hansson, CEO Arla
The international dairy company is a co-operative owned by more than 12,000 dairy farmers from Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Patrik took over the role of CEO for Swedish Arla in late 2016. With previous experience in marketing, sales and finance for fast moving consumer goods brands, he joined Arla in 2011. Most recently, Patrik held the position as head of operations in Southeast Asia, which, during his time, became one of Arla’s fastest growing international markets.
“We are on an exciting international journey. In fact we, are one of the fastest growing food companies globally and are present in most parts of the world.”
